THE WIZARD OF OZ
Cast Announcement

A Civic classic, this all-time family favorite returns to our stage in a lavish holiday musical production. Faithful to MGM's popular movie, the Royal Shakespeare Company brought the dazzling film to life in their 1987 stage version. Dorothy, a wistful, little Kansas farm girl, gets caught up in a tornado and whisked off to the magical land of Oz. With the help of the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion, Dorothy battles the Wicked Witch of the West while trying to reach the great and powerful Wizard in hopes that he can show her the way home. Other characters include Aunt Em, Glinda the Good Witch, Uncle Henry, the Winkies, citizens of Oz, and a large children's chorus appearing as the Munchkins. Featuring an array of special effects - including a full-blown tornado - this musical favorite for all ages is great fun for actors and audiences alike.
