Act One
Admission into ACT ONE is by audition only!
Young performers are required to sing 16 bars of a song (preferably a musical theatre piece) and will need to participate in a challenging movement audition.

Auditions: Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 1:00pm
Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 4:30-6:00pm, beginning September 17, 2008
Our newest programming addition, ACT ONE is Jr. Civic’s premiere performing troupe! Made up of 30 talented young performers from throughout the region, this group meets regularly during the year and will participate in community events all over Indianapolis. Over the past two years, ACT ONE has performed at the Circle of Lights holiday event on Monument Circle (televised!), the Indiana State Museum and for the Indianapolis 500 Festival Kids’ Day. The performance group has also appeared in Civic Theatre’s annual fundraiser A Really Big Shooow! and performed during various community service activities. This season promises to be just as exciting with performances planned throughout the year. Repertoire focuses on songs and scenes from the Musical Theatre canon. Additionally, all ACT ONE participants will receive a 10% discount on all Jr. Civic workshops.
